Easter and a Little More

We had a pretty terrific Easter this year thanks to our wonderful families.  We opened a package from Grandma and Grandpa Norton on Saturday night (forgot to get pictures oops) that had a couple of books, a Donald Duck, and lots of candy in it.  Then on Sunday Alden slept in to about 8:30 and then played by himself really well.  He loves this toy :)

After playing it was time for a bath before church.  Isn't he so cute!

Then we attempted a self timer family photo to show off our spring colors.  The light was really bright for Alden and he pretty much just wanted to eat his tie.
Next we headed to Springville for Easter dinner after church.  Grandma and Grandpa Peterson had an Easter Egg Hunt with a present at the end.  The other kids were pretty anxious to start the hunt and couldn't wait for Alden to wake up so here he is with his present and a picture of the rest of us hunting for eggs.

That night he tried out the Bumbo seat for the first time.  I think he kind of liked it.  It sure does make him work on holding up his head which is good for him.
And finally showing off his Easter pajamas from Shawna.  We are grateful for this holiday that reminds us of the life of our Saviour and that we can be resurrected and live with our Father in Heaven again someday.
The rest are just pictures we have taken of Alden over the last couple of weeks.  He has started to smile and we have had fun trying to capture it on camera (I don't know what people did before digital cameras).  He is loving baths these days even though this face doesn't convey that message :)

Trying out my jersey, it will fit better in a couple of months.
Cass does not like putting lotion on Alden, but one night he got him out of the tub and lotioned him up.  I didn't even ask him to, but I did grab the camera to document him doing it.  He has done it once more since then (I asked him to) for a grand total of 2 times in the last 3 months.
And finally this is waking up from a nap.  We love our little boy and can't imagine life without him now.  We can imagine life without Cassidy in school though thank goodness finals are next week :)

Conference Weekend

We had a lot of family and fun last weekend for General Conference.  First Cassidy's brother Jason and his wife Laura came with their new baby Samantha she is just one month old.  Then on Friday Jamie, Rudy, and Jonathan came to town.  We were lucky enough that Cass' parents let us all hang out at their house so we could spend time with both sides of our family at once.  After playing separately on Friday we spent Saturday listening to conference and enjoying the nice weather by going up the canyon to shoot.  There are a lot of pictures of shooting because I wanted to make sure everyone was shown and there were a lot of people.

We also spent some time enjoying the canyon.  We took the babies for a walk and went over to see the small creek that was just across the road.  This is la familia de Garcia i the creek.

And of course we couldn't leave out this cute boy.  The hat looks so cute and he loves not having the sun in his eyes.
This is how the boys spent most of their time.  I like to think they were bonding.  Samantha sat in the car so there is not a picture of her.
But here she is.  She is so tiny!  We spent Saturday evening and Sunday just hanging out in Springville. The kids were spoiled by everyone wanting to hold them and the grownups enjoyed catching up on everything.
Grandma Peterson with all three great gandkids.

This picture was trying to show the size difference between the three babies.  I don't think it does justice, but I still don't know if I would believe these kids are all less than 6 months apart.  Alden is so lucky to have a cousin on each side of the family so close to his age.

The following pictures are not from conference weekend, but I didn't want to do a whole separate blog post for just them.  Here is Alden on his 2 month birthday.  He is growing so much everyday.
And the other night we gave some of his hair a little trim.  He had these few hairs over his ears and on top of his head that were super super long!  He did great during the haircut though and looks a little less like a homeless little boy now that his hair is all the same length.
