Because Jamie and Rudy have moved to Elko we are lucky to see Jamie and the boys quite a bit now. They came the weekend after Christmas with my parents to bring LaWayne home. While they were in town for a couple of days we had to use our family Christmas present and took them to Discovery Gateway Children's Museum. Cass and I got a year membership for 5 people as our gift to each other and Alden for Christmas so if you are ever in town and want to go give us a call we love this place.

I love how in to reading Alden is right now and this little chair in the reading corner was perfect for him.
Of course after reading we had to try out all the different modes of transportation there are.
And Alden's favorite place is the water table. He could play here for hours if we let him.
Looks like everyone enjoyed their time at the museum.
Good thing we don't really have a climber on our hands

This wall is magnetic and you can move the different pieces of pipe around to make a fun tunnel for your ping pong ball to go down. Cass got a work out lifting the boys up to put the ball in the top. They thought it was amazing every time that the ball came out at the bottom.
Since we went last summer they have added this airplane. There is a cockpit you can climb in with a screen in front of it to make it look like you are flying. If only real planes had this much room in between seats.
They have also upgraded the helicopter and added a children's hospital outside.
These tablets in the patient walk you through performing a "surgery" on different parts of your patient. You have to wash your hands and then go through everything including bandaging after stitching. It is really a neat way to show kids that surgery doesn't have to be very scary.
We had such a fun time showing some of our family one of our new favorite places. We hope they enjoyed it too and that we will be able to take a lot more people with us in the coming year.
