We didn't do too much in February because it is still chilly outside. There were however a couple of holidays that we were able to celebrate in small and big ways. For Valentine's Day Alden got tons of candy. He had a party at Heather's with all of the kids she watches on the 13th and for Mom group on the 14th Gena put together a great party as well. For the party at Heather's we made Mickey Mouse valentines (they are magnets) because there weren't too many kids. I was so proud of this creative moment that it has to be shared.
For President's Day Cass and I both had the day off as well as his parents so we took them and Treygann and headed up to the children's museum in Salt Lake. Because of the holiday they had some fun crafts going on. Alden made this picture of George Washington (with a little help from mom and dad, turns out he wasn't that interested in George).
And we were able to add his face to this group of President's. He was not thrilled to have his picture taken.
They also had some nurses from local emergency rooms there for the kids to draw pictures for the nurses that had to work that day. Alden had fun doing that and they gave him his first tattoo. It was a cartoon life flight helicopter on the back of his hand. It was so fun to watch him realize it didn't come off like a sticker. We had a pretty low key month, but enjoyed all of our time together as a family.
