Each year in the month of June the city of Pleasant Grove hosts a family hike day in the canyon not far from our house. It is a free event and they just ask that you register ahead of time so they have an idea of how many people to plan on. We forgot last year so this was our first time and it was AWESOME! We will definitely be back next year. They served breakfast and had coupons for local vendors plus everyone got a a door prize. We won a gift certificate to a local restaurant and 2 movie tickets. After all of this we still hadn't even started hiking yet. The theme this year was I Spy A Minion so as we hiked we looked for minions they had hidden along the trail. There were also games set up every 100 feet or so for the kids to play and they were all themed on the Despicable Me movies. It was so fun we didn't even mind that we didn't make it to the waterfall at the end. Plus when we got back to the beginning we discovered a hidden minion in our bag of coupons so we won chips and salsa in a sombrero. I love living in a city that plans so many great family friendly activities.

| I don't remember the name of this game, but you had to move the chicken egg from one nest to the other in between your legs. It was so cute to watch him try to do this. |

| Unicorn horn ring toss. Alden did great he got 2 out of 3 with no help from mom |
After the family hike we went to Home Depot for the monthly kids workshop. This month we made a riding lawn mower. Alden enjoyed it more than it looks like in this picture. And although she is not seen in any of the pictures my mom was along for the ride on this busy Saturday morning. Thanks for playing with us Grandma.
