Bear Lake

For July Fourth we headed to Bear Lake again with the Peterson family. We love coming here every summer and hope to be able to come for a long time. On the way we had to stop in Randolph to play on the merry-go-round just to make sure Alden gets this important childhood experience :)

One of the other things we do every year is take in a show at the Pickleville Playhouse. This year was who shot Juanito Bandito. The plays are always so funny and we had great seats.

The rest of the time was spent hanging out at the campground and down at the lake. Alden is lucky to have cousins on both sides that are the same age.  He and Samantha had a blast playing ladder golf, eating Cheetos, blowing bubbles, riding wiggle cars, and helping us play cards.

Alden had more fun playing in the sand than in the water even when we buried his legs.

We are lucky enough to camp close enough to the lake that we can walk to it. One day on the way to the lake we found a frog. After Cass and Uncle Brian chased him around a bit they caught him and the kids had a few minutes of fun petting him before we let him loose.

After a few days at Bear Lake we headed to Elko to meet the newest addition to the Norton family, Hudson. We spent a little more than one day and somehow only took one picture of Hudson the whole time. Probably because we were having so much fun just holding and loving him.

The day after we got back from Bear Lake and Elko a new member of the Peterson family arrived. Zoey Iris was born July 8 and we went to meet her in the hospital on the 9th.

Alden was not too interested in a baby and was really not happy I made him hold her with me, but Cass and I loved it.

 

We couldn't be happier to have more babies in the family to love and watch grow up.
