Family Hike Day Star Wars Style

June means Pleasant Grove Family Hike Day, one of our favorite days of the year.  We got there early this year and decided to hike up to Battle Creek Falls first and then eat breakfast (it helped that the first 100 people to the falls got a free sugar cookie).  This is the first time we made it to the waterfall on family hike day, I think probably because we didn't stop for any of the games on the way up we did them all on the way back.
Alden posing on the bridge.  He looks pretty tough here.
And one of our favorite stops along the trail, the tiny cave.
Hooray all of us at the waterfall.  One day we are going to hike past the waterfall and see what there is, but for now this is good.
The hike this year was Star Wars themed so all of the games were bases off that. Here we are having a light saber battle. Alden may have won probably because he didn't have another person on his back.
Practicing his light saber skills.
More practice with a blind fold to help him become aware of his surroundings.
The petting zoo was a big hit last year so they came again this year.  I don't know how they tied it in to Star Wars, but how often can you say that you have petted a skunk?
Another great year and another great family activity put on by our awesome community. Can't wait to see what the theme will be next year.
