Master Cassidy

July 17, 2016 was a big day for our family. This is the day Cass graduated from Western Governors University with his Masters Degree in Mathematics Education.  This is huge because of the 6 years we have been married Cass has been in school for about 4.5 of them.  This has been one of the biggest blessings of our marriage however.  We were at a Bee's game about 2 years ago and found out about a scholarship opportunity.  Cass applied and won.  This means that for his masters degree we only had to pay a little more than 1 term which means it was only around $4, 000.  We have no student debt because of that scholarship and Cass has the potential to earn so much more to support or family.  I am so proud of him for working hard every night after we had all gone to bed.  Cass was amazing! He did well in school even though we had a baby and moved houses during this time.  Thanks for being an inspiration to me and our kids, I love you Cass!

After the ceremony we had a bbq in the backyard to celebrate.  We were able to have all of Cass' family over as well as my parents, LaWayne, and Jamie's family.

Here are the pictures we took from our seats. The ceremony was held in the University of Utah Huntsman Center and had graduate from all over the United States. Cass was lucky enough to be in the front rows.  He is one of the people wearing the light blue hood already in the chairs.

We had to sit kind of far away, but we still enjoyed sharing this day with Cass.

One last picture of our family.  So excited for this day as there were times we thought it would never come.  I hope our kids will understand how important education is from looking at the sacrifice of their dad.
