For our anniversary each year we try to take a trip somewhere. With kids it is normally just a quick over night get away. This year we went to St. George and met BJ and Shawna to see Beauty and the Beast at Tuacahn. We happened to go on the day after BJ's birthday so he got to open his present from us in the backseat of the car in the Dairy Queen drive-thru as we got him a birthday treat on our way to the show (we were running a little late).
We had a great time even though it was so hot and it was a much needed get away (we finally got a full nights sleep).
We left the kids with Grandma and Grandpa Peterson and they didn't seem to miss us at all. Grandma took Alden to the street fair that was happening for Art City Days and look at all the things he came back with.
Then the next morning Grnadpa took Alden the block down the street to see the hot air balloons launch. He thought it was pretty cool and even cooler that he got to go in his pajamas.
