Jamie got a pass to the Hogle Zoo for her birthday last year, and she was nice enough to let me pretend to go as her childcare provider so that we could all get in free. I can't remember why exactly it was just Jamie and I and the kids this day, but it was fun. We didn't plan terribly well and we let the kids play at the splash pad at the end even though we didn't bring them a change in clothes. The melt downs when we got to the car and stripped them down were definitely worth it though because look at how much fun they had.

We splurged and got tickets for the train ride and the carousel. The boys went twice and were upset when we ran out of passes for them to keep going.
The zoo had the even Zoorasic Park going on so there were mechanical dinosaurs all over the place. Some shot water at you, some made noises. and some were just really great for climbing on. 
When we first came in we had a chance to pet an armadillo. The boys were amazed with this creature. I have never seen Jarom sit so still for so long.
Thanks for letting us use your birthday present too, Jamie we love the zoo.
