I DID IT I DID IT!!!

For Labor Day we went out on the boat again with Cassidy's family. We were only able to wake board for a little while and then water got too rough so we pulled out the inner-tube. Here are some pictures from the day. Make sure you get all the way to the end because that is where you see the video of Randi finally making it up on the wake board. It only took three times out on the boat and next time she will figure out balancing on it so she doesn't fall down every time she goes over the wake.

Sherrie and McKenna on the tube, they ended up falling out the back very gracefully :)

Dane and Treygann. Treygann didn't want to go in the water because he said it was cold, but by the end of the ride he was having a good time even though it doesn't look like it in the picture.

The brothers, it was a wild ride!

Just chillin with McKenna and Keeliana. They were both afraid to get in the water too, but once they did we couldn't get them out of it.

And finally she is on the wake board! Look at that concentration.

Sherrie, she is a natural on it.

Very confident, look mom only one hand :)

A Return to Childhood

When we moved in to our apartment we discovered a park nearby with a perfect hill for ice blocking. After talking about it all summer and reminiscing how we haven't been ice blocking for years we finally went for family night this week. We had a blast and got some good exercise walking back up the hill every couple of minutes. (Warning there are a lot of pictures so if you don't want to look at us stop reading now)

Cass showing off some trick moves. He also tried to go down on his knees, but it didn't work out too well.

Our friends Sarah and Mike came with us. Thanks for all of the laughs, guys!

I know I look unstable, but I did make it all the way to the bottom without falling off

And of course there were a few falls. I am so excited we got a picture mid fall.
Cass told me I couldn't post about this, but he is at work so I am going to anyway. We have been to the driving range quite a few times lately. Cassidy is teaching me how to golf and making me perfect my swing before we do a real game. These pictures were taken with my camera phone so they aren't that great, but this day I hit my first drive over 100 yards! It was a big moment in my life. Of course Cassidy was hitting 200+ yard drives consistently, but that doesn't take away from achievements, right?

Another First Date

On August 8, 2009 I took Randi on our first date to a Salt Lake City Bee's game. A year later we went back to see the the Bee's play Sacramento. Cassidy started off the night by trying to learn how to blow up the noise makers and had difficulty for the first 10 mins.

Unlike the first date Cassidy actually payed attention to the game rather then spending the entire time talking to Randi and not realize the game ended.

Sorry it's not a great picture, self timer is hard :)

Both of us had a blast at the game, even though the Bee's did not win.

We found a ad in the program that we found to be fun to find the adventure in Elko.

After the game we were able to go down on the field and watch fireworks that were shot off just a few hundred feet away. On an occasion we could feel the ashes fall on us.

Two Buck Tuesdays Rides Again!

Once again we took advantage of $2 Tuesdays at Thanksgiving Point. This week we went to the Gardens at Thanksgiving Point. The normal admission price is $10 for an adult so it was definitely a steal. The gardens are amazing! There are 15 different areas and all are very different from the rest. It also has the nation's largest man-made waterfalls which we failed to get a picture of. Anyway here are some pictures of our adventure.

This fountain was so cool! It was in the Italian garden and this is only have of it.

In the secret garden, we were trying to get the fountain behind us. You had to go through a tunnel of vines and then a door to get in the garden. There was also a brick wall covered in ivy surrounding the whole thing and tall trees around the wall so from anywhere else you could not the secret garden.

It is a carousel, cool huh? It was a great trip and we wish we had stopped for the 50 cent ice cream because it was about 95 degrees outside and it took us a little over an hour to walk through the entire garden.

Jamie's Wedding

Jamie and Rudy got married on August 7, 2010 in the Reno Nevada temple. They had a reception in Reno that night and another one in Elko on the 14th. We were lucky enough to be at both and got to see a lot of family and friends. Here are a few pictures from both weekends. My favorite part was that they were late to both receptions.

The one picture I liked of the Elko reception was Jamie talking on the phone while in line. She is such a multitasker :)

Pictures at the temple! The happy couple and everyone that was there to support Jamie, minus Erin the photographer because she was obviously taking the picture.

Sibling fun, we always knew we were a little weird, but now it is caught on film. Doesn't Jamie look beautiful!

No words needed, everyone loves Jamie!

Cassidy and I outside the Reno temple. Yeah for self timer on the camera.

The infamous pyramid. I don't know how Rudy came up with this idea or how they talked all of the men into letting people climb on their backs, but it made a cute picture and was definitely fun to watch them get up and down :)

The line in Reno. It took like 7 hours to set up the reception in Reno. Good thing it didn't take that long to clean up.

Decorating the car, BJ got the handcuffs and LaWayne got in on the action. She looks so happy to be terrorizing the newly weds.

One of the original sayings on their windows. We decided to erase it and write something else so that there car would not get vandalized in San Fransisco for a week.

Jamie trying to steal my man, sorry Jamie he's taken :)

Jamie really likes her cake!

A cute apron so that Jamie would not spill her spaghetti on her dress. Yeah for using my bridal shower present.

Traditional bouquet and garter toss. Jamie threw her bouquet too far the first time so she had to redo it. Rudy flipped the garter straight up in the air so he had to redo that as well. It looks like they were made for each other :)

My first official dance with my husband, the swirl and sway because we both dance like very white people.

And finally after it was all over we took a trip downtown to see the famous Reno sign. Although we loved seeing all of the cars for Hot August Nights we did not enjoy downtown. We only walked around for one block before heading back to the car.
