Conference Weekend

We had a lot of family and fun last weekend for General Conference.  First Cassidy's brother Jason and his wife Laura came with their new baby Samantha she is just one month old.  Then on Friday Jamie, Rudy, and Jonathan came to town.  We were lucky enough that Cass' parents let us all hang out at their house so we could spend time with both sides of our family at once.  After playing separately on Friday we spent Saturday listening to conference and enjoying the nice weather by going up the canyon to shoot.  There are a lot of pictures of shooting because I wanted to make sure everyone was shown and there were a lot of people.

We also spent some time enjoying the canyon.  We took the babies for a walk and went over to see the small creek that was just across the road.  This is la familia de Garcia i the creek.

And of course we couldn't leave out this cute boy.  The hat looks so cute and he loves not having the sun in his eyes.
This is how the boys spent most of their time.  I like to think they were bonding.  Samantha sat in the car so there is not a picture of her.
But here she is.  She is so tiny!  We spent Saturday evening and Sunday just hanging out in Springville. The kids were spoiled by everyone wanting to hold them and the grownups enjoyed catching up on everything.
Grandma Peterson with all three great gandkids.

This picture was trying to show the size difference between the three babies.  I don't think it does justice, but I still don't know if I would believe these kids are all less than 6 months apart.  Alden is so lucky to have a cousin on each side of the family so close to his age.

The following pictures are not from conference weekend, but I didn't want to do a whole separate blog post for just them.  Here is Alden on his 2 month birthday.  He is growing so much everyday.
And the other night we gave some of his hair a little trim.  He had these few hairs over his ears and on top of his head that were super super long!  He did great during the haircut though and looks a little less like a homeless little boy now that his hair is all the same length.

Thunder Over Utah

Cassidy had Spring Break last week which just happened to work out to be at the same that the Blue Angels were coming to Utah.  We really wanted to go to the air show, but didn't want to have to pay for a hotel in St. George so we took a few extra days and went all the way to Las Vegas to see BJ and Jamie  and then had them come with us to the show.  On the way down to Vegas we stopped in St. George  to feed a certain little boy and then decided to let him stretch his legs a little before going back in to the car seat.  We stopped here for the stretching.
The sun was a little bright for small eyes, but Cass let Alden borrow his sunglasses.  Isn't he such a good dad :)

Once we got to Vegas I forgot to pull out the camera, but we had fun playing games with family and trying our hand at having two babies.  We watched Jonathan for Jamie and Rudy on Friday.  We took the boys shopping, to Wendy's and finally to Color Me Mine to paint some presents.  I am so bummed I forgot the camera for Color Me Mine because the boys were so cute, don't worry I will post pictures of what they made once we get them back from being fired.

Finally, Saturday we drove back to St. George to see the Blue Angels.  It was St. Patrick's Day so Alden got to wear his special onesie.

It was also a very windy day and I loved the faces Alden made when the wind got in his face.

The wind made it pretty cold at times.
 Love this face!

The only picture with me in it.
Thanks BJ, Jamie, and Rudy for going with us we had a blast and hope you did too.

A couple of adventures

This last weekend we went to Idaho Falls to meet Samantha our new niece.  She and Alden are about 5 weeks apart and you can definitely tell they are related.  Here are some pictures from their first meeting.

Isn't this the cutest baby boy ever!

They even sleep the same :)

Proud grandparents

A few days before going to Idaho Alden and I went on a tour of the Sweets Candy Factory with some friends of ours.  We saw how they make jelly beans, orange sticks, and salt water taffy.  We also got to sample all of these treats.  My favorite part was that everyone had to wear a hair net, even Alden.  Isn't he so cute in his tiny hair net :)

And finally I just love Alden's face when we burp him.  Every time I see this I laugh so now everyone gets to see it.

What a Blessing

We blessed Alden this last Sunday and were so blessed ourselves to have so many family members come for this special event.  I counted and just our two families took up 9 pews in the chapel.  No one loves this little boy :)  Before Sunday though we had some time to hang out with the Norton family.  We went miniature golfing and out to eat at one of our new favorite restaurants.

We tried out our new baby backpack and I think Cass got a small taste of what it is like to be pregnant.  He couldn't bend down to get his ball :)
Alden with his new friend Shawna and meeting great grandma Norton
And finally the big day came.  Here is Alden being an excellent model of his suit that I made for him to wear.

Cass did an excellent job on the blessing.  I only wish whoever was holding the microphone was holding it closer to his mouth because it was kind of hard to hear at times.  After church we had a beautiful Sunday afternoon with a lunch outside.  I think everyone had a good time.  I know I did.  The following are family pictures from the day.

Cousins, Jonathan was holding Alden with a little help.  Don't they look cute?  These two better like each other because we are planning on them being best buds :)

1 Month!

After what seemed like the longest few months of our lives we have just experienced the fast month of our lives.  I still can't believe Alden is a month old.  We have learned a lot in the last month and I am sure we will continue to learn much more in the months to come.  Here are some pictures of the last month.  There is his first bath, pictures with our siblings (we have had a lot of visitors this month and don't have enough room for pictures of all of them), and just hanging out.  Alden loves to just lay on the floor and kick his legs and stretch his arms.  He is so content most of the time.  We love our little boy and hope you enjoy you as much as we do.

Can you find the baby :)
Ready for church.  Too bad you can't see his suit better.
And finally one month pictures.  Like I said he likes to move so it is already hard to get a good picture of him.
