Union Station

Way back in May we won tickets to Union Station at Pleasant Grove Family Hike Day. Grandma Peterson had been talking about taking the boys up there one day so we made a family event out of the tickets when we finally made it up to Ogden in October. This place was amazing. There were so many fun attractions to see and there were a couple that were interactive that made it even more enjoyable.  

Here are the pictures from the small antique car museum.  We took this picture of a Hudson to honor our cousin Hudson.

The older gentlemen that were overseeing this area of the museum let us go behind the rope and honk the horn on this car. Alden thought it was awesome, he wanted to do it over and over again.

Outside the Browning Gun area of the museum was this old old phone booth so of course we didn't take any pictures of the rooms of guns but one of the teeny weeny phone booth.

 Of course there was a large train area in the museum. There were a couple of electric trains that went through the walls and some wood ones you could push around the track yourself, but the hit was this train car of some kind that you could climb all over and dress up and fix things.

 

The most fun part for the grown ups though was this exhibit that had you pretend to be the early colonists of America. You got a life necklace and then as you made decision through out the maze you either added life points or subtracted them. The goal was to still be alive at the end. We had Cass with us who is very aware of what happened with the early colonists so we all lived, yea! One of the stops though was this fun little zip line. Alden and Sam had a blast on it.

And here is the engine they had outside of the museum. It was fun to climb up inside of it and we there at the one time during the day the blow the horn so that was fun too.

And finally one of our little family in front of one of the cool boxcars outside. Too bad you can't really see the box car, but this family selfie took quite a few takes to get it this good.

We had a great time and will most likely go back again. Thanks grandma for getting all of the cousins there together, that made even more enjoyable.
