I don't know if we have ever mentioned on our blog that we ge together once a month with some friends in our neighborhood and do what our religion calls Family Home Evening so just in case we haven't now you all know we do. This month we decided we wanted to tie dye shirts. There is a family in our ward that is big in to tie dye so we asked them to help us. Dan was the only one home and he was awesome to take so much time to teach us (and let us use all of their supplies). Here are some pictures from the evening.
Dan showing Cass how to put rubber bands on his shirt.
A master at work :)
This Gregor and Austin, one of the other families. As soon as Austin saw the camera he started smiling and running toward it.
Pete and Gena
Cass entertained Aiden on the swing while Pete and Gena did their shirts.
Kendall
Aiden had so much fun on the swing Alden wanted to try it too.
Alden's onsie (no pictures of him in it because we made it a little big for him)
Look at that skill :)
The finished products! We had a blast tie dying and got a huge compliment when we wore them out today. Some random guy stopped and asked if we were Grateful Dead fans and then mentioned that he thought we had bought our shirts because they look that good after we mentioned we had just made them ourselves.
We are so grateful to have great friends who will go along with our crazy ideas like tie dying even though it really isn't in style any more.
Righteous!
