Father's Day weekend we spent visiting various natural water formations in the valley. We started in Provo Canyon with a stop at Bridal Veil Falls. The falls were beautiful, the water was cold so there was little to do, but stand and look at the water so we stayed about thirty minutes and then headed farther up the canyon to Cascade Springs.
This is a shot of Cass and Alden starting out. Alden was a little annoyed that we woke him up from his nap in the car.
This is a picture from the bottom of the spring. This is such a beautiful place in pretty much a barren land. All of this water is from a natural spring in the ground.

This was the end of the adventure. We probably should have thought to feed him before we left the car and he wouldn't have been so fussy as we walked through the spring.
On Sunday we decided to take a drive up American Fork Canyon for Father's Day because we had bought a 3 day forrest pass on Saturday and wanted to get the most out of it. We ended up at Tibble Fork Reservoir. I thought the water was pretty cold, but Alden didn't seem to mind getting his feet wet.
While we were there Cass got this crazy idea to go up a dirt trail to look over the lake. The idea was crazy because we didn't plan to do more than just walk around so we didn't have the pack with us and Cass was just carrying Alden in his arms. I was a nervous wreck, but we were able to get this self timer family portrait overlooking the lake.
Finally here is a picture of what Cass woke up to on Father's Day morning. Inside the bag is Jimmy Fallon's Thank You Notes 2. He got the first book last year for Father's Day so now we have the complete set :)
